How It Works
The Process
The interior design consultation begins with a client meeting, whether in person or virtual, which is an opportunity to get to know each other and to discuss style, requirements and budget. Often, general style terms such as a Modern Design Interior or Contemporary Design Interior are used to describe what a client is looking for but the best way to determine the actual style is to bring inspirational photos and materials to this meeting which will provide an immediate focus for the design.
Once the scope of the project has been determined (ie. designing an entire house or just choosing a new dining table), a proposal is sent to the client outlining the services included in the fee. Trade discounts are offered, subsequent to a design project engagement. For any type of consultation or project, the fee includes extensive communication with the client. Feedback on all stages of the project is crucial as a lack of communication will lead to delays in completion.
Fees
Small Project Consultation - Starting at $400
This is perfect if you are looking for advice on paint colors, lighting, replacing a piece of furniture or simply want a new layout refresh using items you already have. The fee includes advice, sourcing, in-person visits and installation where required.
Full Design Consultation - Starting at $1000
This would be an extensive project that involves designing a room from the ground up, decorating a new home or redoing an existing contemporary design interior. Included in this fee are ongoing client discussions and feedback, mood boards, room design and renderings, sourcing of all materials, furniture and accessories, on-site visits and installation.
